Being Proud Of Her Country, First Class Graduate In UK Waves Nigerian Flag During Graduation Ceremony
A first class graduate of Law from the University of Essex in United Kingdom has, in a patriotic move, waved the Nigerian flag to demonstrate her support for her home country during the school’s graduation ceremony held in the UK.
The move, which has left some of her friends and family both home and abroad grinning from ear to ear, has also elicited reactions from others who do not think there is anything worth celebrating in the country.
The student, Chisom Onumbu, a native of Isiokpo Kingdom in Rivers State, Nigeria and daughter of Chief and Mrs Alex Onumbo, said she made the move to demonstrate how proud of her roots she was and move others to appreciate their heritage.
