In an electrifying display of speed and skill, Ogunrinde Oladele took the top spot at the third edition of the Abuja Bikers Race, crossing the finish line at’ the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, yesterday.
The thrilling event drew in crowds of enthusiastic spectators, all eager to witness the adrenaline-fueled action unfold.
Speaking to Journalists, Oladele said his victory is a result of proper preparation and hardwork, the 15 year old Cyclist said he intends to participate in the Olympics and other global cycling championships in the nearest future.
“I prepare and practice everyday,that is the price you pay to become a champion.I see myself in the Olympics,the world championships,the tour de France,giro d’ Italia and world championships.

He added that he participated in the recently held National Youth Games,where he finished 9th in time trial
Also speaking McCarthy Maccharlene, one of the females who competed.,was the first female to reach the finish line.
She said “I was surprised I made it as the first girl to reach the finish line.I didn’t know I could do it.”
On her part Mrs Gloria Udohkhai, chairperson, Dynamic Women on Point, one of the the organizers said the essence of the tournament encourage people to engage in one sporting activity or another,and also a platform for young cyclists to showcase their talent.
The winner went home with a cash prize of N50,000, the second position got N30,000, while third position was awarded N20,000.
The Abuja Bikers Race is part of a larger movement to promote biking culture in Nigeria.
