APC, Ready To Take Charge Of Abia In 2027 If There’s Unity.
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Nigerian Senate President, Hon. Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa, on Friday, 15th November 2024, hosted the Ohafia LGA APC ward chairmen and stakeholders at his country home in Amaekpu Ohafia, Ohafia LGA, Abia State.
While addressing the ward chairmen and leaders from the three clans that make up Ohafia LGA—Nkporo, Abiriba, and Ohafia—Hon. Ukwa stated that the purpose of the meeting was to engage with and familiarise himself with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohafia LGA and explore ways to strengthen the party for a resounding victory in 2027.
Hon. Ukwa urged the APC leaders to embrace peace and work together in unity, expressing confidence that the party could achieve victory in Ohafia and Abia State if united.
“I believe that if we unify, we will win and take over Ohafia and Abia State. I promise the APC that I will give my best in every capacity—physically, morally, and financially—for us to win in 2027,” he affirmed.
The young, progressive humanitarian further emphasised that leadership is about service, reaffirming his commitment to rendering selfless service to humanity and society at large. He added that his goal is to help unite the party and foster development that will leave a lasting legacy.
In conclusion, Hon. Ukwa thanked his guests for attending the meeting on short notice, describing their presence as a demonstration of their commitment and love for the progress and growth of the APC.
In their speeches, the ward chairmen praised Hon. Ukwa’s dedication to the party and his thoughtful leadership in convening the meeting. They commended his spirit of sportsmanship and pledged to work collectively to ensure the APC’s victory in all elective positions in Ohafia and Abia State in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting was well attended by key stakeholders, including Hon. Chidiebere Uwagwu Kalu, the immediate past Commissioner for Establishment and Training in Abia State under the PDP, who recently defected to the APC; the APC Women’s Leader for Abia State, Chief Mrs. Ezinne Udo Uduma; APC political stalwart Hon. Barr. Udo Uduma; and the wife of the chief host, Mrs. Jennifer Ikenna Ukwa, among others.
