Lookman Shortlisted For Men’s Player of the Year Final round
Atalanta star, Ademola Lookman will battle four other players for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
CAF unveiled the final nominees for the prestigious award on Thursday night, December 12.
The other nominees are; Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi and Ronwen Williams.
Lookman will be hoping to succeed his international teammate Victor Osimhen, who won the award last year.
Lookman scored three goals and registered one assist in seven appearances for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The 27-year-old also scored a historic hat-trick for Atalanta in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
Lookman is in a rich vein of form has so far racked up 11 goals and five assists from 18 outings across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this season. He also won the man of the match in the champions league clash between Atalanta and Real Madrid as he helps his side push for the Serie A title
The CAF awards ceremony will hold in Marrakech, Morocco next week Monday, December 16.
