Bank, Organizations recognized at SERAS Award in Lagos
At the 18th SERAS Africa Sustainability Awards, at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Zenith Bank Plc, International Breweries Plc, NNPC Foundation and others won laurels.
Zenith took home Best Responsible Corporate Organisation in Africa, ahead of NNPC Foundation, International Breweries and Nasper and Prosus, which came second, third and fourth.
The bank also won Best Company in Transparency & Reporting and Best Company in Gender Equality & Women Empowerment.
International Breweries was Best in Poverty Reduction and Best in Climate Action, while NNPC Foundation was recognised as Best in Good Health and Well Being and Best in Workplace Practice. NNPCL Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, was CEO of the Year.

Others include Lagos Free Zone, IHS Tower, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Bank of Industry, BUA/Abdul Samad Rabiu Foundation, Nestle Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Live Your Dreams Africa, Building Practice, Polaris Bank, Seplat, Heir Insurance, Channels TV, OKOBI initiative of Imo State, and Airtel/UNICEF.
Awards Executive Director, Mary Ephraim-Egbas, said the award, now 18, had evolved into a prime sustainability platform in Africa and the gold standard for recognising organisations driving change.
She said the award had led to the transformative journey of initiatives that had shaped communities and inspired a shared resolve to actualise Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
