National Assembly: Pa Fasoranti names Otunba Gbenga Daniel Yoruba leader
Leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere Worldwide, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has named the former governor of Ogun State and senator representing Ogun East District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, as the leader of all Yoruba lawmakers at the National Assembly.
Recall that out of the 109 and 360 members at the Senate and House of Representatives respectively, lawmakers representing the six south-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria, which encompasses Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Oyo are duly represented.
In a heartfelt message to Senator Daniel, the elder statesman expressed satisfaction at the former governor’s performance as a politician, his demonstrable and documented selfless supports for the interest of the Yoruba tribe right from the days of Pa Obafemi Awolowo’s Unity Party of Nigeria in 1978 and the National Democratic Coalition, NADECO.

“As 8 years executive governor of Ogun State, you did not disappoint me. Now, as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, please make me proud. My son, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigeria Armed forces.
“I put all my children at the National Assembly in your care, please look after them and work hand in hand with the President for the glory of Nigeria and that of Yoruba land.
