Olu of Warri Explores Bilateral Opportunities in Finland to Boost Warri Kingdom’s Economy
The Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, recently embarked on a trip to Finland, to explore business opportunities and learn about how the country has been able to attract foreign investment.
The visit, Apples Bite Magazine has learned is aimed at identifying potential areas of partnership between Finland and the Warri Kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria, which could create economic opportunities and improve the standard of living for the people of Warri and Nigeria, in consonance with the Olu of Warri’s 30-year economic growth plan for the kingdom.

During the ongoing visit, the Olu of Warri has met with Finland’s DG, Department for Africa and Middle East, Ministry of foreign Affairs, Mrs. Solie From-Emmesberger, and similarly, the monarch has also visited the Nigeria Ambassador to Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, His Excellency, B.B. Hamman, to discuss how to strengthen the partnership between Finland and Nigeria.The ambassador praised the Olu of Warri for his visionary leadership and expressed her confidence in the potential for collaboration between the two countries.
Similarly, the revered monarch also visited University of Tampere, to learn more about their system.Olu of Warri expressed his admiration for Finland’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its efforts to reduce carbon emissions. He also noted the country’s focus on education and technology as key drivers of economic growth.
Finland is renowned for its technological innovation and stable economy which has attracted significant foreign investment. The country is known for its expertise in areas such as renewable energy, health technology, and education, all of which can be utilized by the Warri Kingdom.
The Olu of Warri was impressed with the country’s business-friendly policies and infrastructure, which he believes can be replicated in Warri to attract foreign investment.
