News Series Alert: Idede Osayende delves into the Power of vision.
I am not an English teacher but in my writing journey, and as an avid reader, I have come to realise that words have deeper meanings based on contextual usage.
For example, sight goes beyond the ability to see when it’s used in a context to mean vision, as in aspirations, ambitions and goals.
Recently, in my study, I have noticed that somethings that did not work as planned in my life were not external forces as usually believe. Instead, it’s a case of losing sight of the picture.
To give a clearer insight into what I am talking about…
Have you ever asked why the Philistines took out Samson’s eyes?
They conquered him, they could have cut off his hands and legs or killed him, but they took out his eyes!
Why did Elijah tell Elisha that the only conditions of receiving a double portion of the anointing were only if he sees him depart?
Why did God say the young men shall see visions and not dreams?
Why did God tell Abraham to look up and count the stars when he gave him the promise of being the father of nations?
Why did Moses have to raise the serpent in the wilderness for the people to look at it to be saved from snake bites?
What is so special about Vision?
