British Airways, DJ Cuppy Partner to Elevate Inflight Entertainment with Afrobeats
British Airways has joined forces with Nigerian-born musician DJ Cuppy to bring the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats to passengers through an exclusive playlist available onboard. DJ Cuppy, a renowned Londoner whose talents have taken her to over 30 countries, has meticulously curated her favorite tracks for the airline’s inflight entertainment system.
In celebration of the expanded flight options between Africa and London, including the launch of a new route from Accra to London Gatwick, DJ Cuppy has crafted a playlist designed to transport travelers to a musical paradise even before their flight touches down.

Passengers across British Airways’ extensive long-haul network will have the opportunity to enjoy tracks such as “Jollof On The Jet” and “Feel Good,” a fusion of spicy African beats, hip hop, and reggae.
DJ Cuppy, a musician, frequent flyer, and philanthropist, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Like British Airways, music has the power to transport us to different places around the world, so I’m super excited to partner with them on their first-ever Afrobeats playlist, bringing feel-good vibes right to flyers’ seats.”
Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, remarked, “Enjoying the latest music, films, and box sets is one of the things our customers most look forward to when they fly with us, so we’re really pleased to partner with Cuppy and bring more exclusive mixes to flyers’ fingertips.”
As part of the collaboration, British Airways is set to launch a new route from Accra to London Gatwick, providing travelers with increased flight options and a choice of airports. Flights from Accra to Gatwick will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with a fourth weekly service scheduled for April next year. All London Heathrow to Accra flights will be served by the airline’s A350 fleet, featuring the latest generation business class seat, Club Suite.
Passengers who prefer streaming content on their personal devices can take advantage of British Airways’ WiFi connectivity options, including messaging and ‘browse and stream’ packages. The airline continues to roll out WiFi across its long and short-haul fleet, ensuring an enhanced inflight experience for passengers.
