Darling Lyonga- There is need for Cameroonian and other African artists to emulate and cooperate with Nigerian artists
Darling Lyonga, Frontline Cameroonian Entertainer, has revealed the reason Nigerian artistes have made significant impact and become popular on the international music scene.
Darling Lyonga, the anchor of ‘Hall of Fame’, an entertaining live programme that specifically nurtures activities around people in the society, said other countries’artistes should do more to emulate Nigerian artists for being a recognized brand in the world through pronounced collaboration.
According to Darling Lyonga, Cameroonian artists and other African artists need to emulate and cooperate with Nigerian artists to consistently be on top of the world rather than calling for a ban on their music.
“I am a Cameroonian entertainer, we have good artists here in Cameroon and in other African countries. I am a fan of Nigerian music, I love it and I love the country. I have adopted a name in Nigeria as ‘Chioma’,” said Darling Lyonga.
“I believe more cooperation and collaboration can balance the differences, we need to help ourselves to build such milestones. Africans are blessed, Cameroonians are fantastic and we are talented but I think we need to cooperate with our brothers in Nigeria for more world pronounced collaboration that will shake the world.”
“We actually need ourselves to grow in the entertainment industry.
“I don’t agree that countries like Cameroon, Ghana, and others should ban Nigerian music in their industry, it will actually affect such country’s music industry. Nigerian artistes are not to blame for them not reaching the top. I believe that is not the solution. Probably, better ways of collaboration. We are neighbors and we should operate like brothers and sisters.
“The truth is that nobody is going to de-market any talented Cameroonian artistes, music is a brand, and you will be known if you are talented. I think we need to push sentiment apart, Nigerian artistes are exceptional and that is why they are on top.”
“Country that produces world stars like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Asake, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Rhema, Yemi Alade, and others, such a country is a good brand for the global entertainment industry.”
After an interaction with Cameroon-based Nigerian publisher, Ismaila Adegbola over the trending issues of banning Nigerian music in some African countries.
“Thank you NAIJA DIASPORA. Might be working on my first partnership soon. My dream is soon coming to fruition. Nigeria here I come,” Darling Lyonga took to her Facebook page.
Adegbola assured that Nigerians are liberal people who will be ready to support her collaboration in due time.
