In an exciting development, the Oluebube Charity Foundation has been selected to receive the prestigious 2024 Humanitarian Awards. This honour is in recognition of the foundation’s outstanding contributions to child welfare and community empowerment.
The award ceremony will take place on August 24th at Merit House, in Maitama, Abuja.
During a recent visit to the foundation, Ngozi Rosemary Ezeani, the director of the Oluebube Charity Foundation, provided a tour of the office and the skills acquisition centre. The visit showcased the foundation’s dedication and impactful work in supporting and empowering children and communities.
Mrs. Ezeani expressed her gratitude, saying, “we are deeply honoured and grateful for this recognition. It motivates us to continue our mission of fostering sustainable development and creating opportunities for every child to thrive.”
Emmanuel Anabueze, founder of the Humanitarian Awards and Magazine Event, praised the foundation, stating, “the Oluebube Charity Foundation is a shining example of what can be achieved through dedication and compassion. We are thrilled to recognize their outstanding contributions to child welfare and community empowerment.”
The week-long celebration will begin on August 19th with a press conference, setting the stage for a series of impactful activities designed to make a positive difference in the community.
These activities include the distribution of food to street beggars by volunteers, a move aimed at addressing immediate needs of panhandlers and bringing relief to the less fortunate, as well as a visit to the School of the Blind, where study materials and food items will be donated to visually impaired students, thus highlighting the importance of inclusive education and support for the students.
A novelty football match to raise awareness about hunger and encourage community participation in combating hunger issues will be played. In addition to the novelty football match, a skill acquisition workshop will also be organised to equip participants with valuable skills, and empower them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to community development.
The highlight of the weeklong event will be the awards ceremony on August 24th, where outstanding humanitarian efforts will be recognised and celebrated. The ceremony will also feature the publication of a special magazine documenting the achievements and insights shared during the event and a summit to discuss challenges, share best practices, and strategise for future humanitarian initiatives.
This event promises to be a significant celebration of humanitarian efforts, and the Oluebube Charity Foundation’s recognition highlights their crucial role in fostering sustainable development and supporting communities.
