Late Professor Ambrose Ali had the best of education policy in the old Bendel State, now Edo and Delta. It was an era the State could pass as the best in education advancement across the country.
It was a period which the people had the best of brains in all professional sphere, an era that saw to the establishment of several schools at all levels.
Bendel State University now renamed Ambrose Ali University (AAU) Ekpoma, College of Education, Agbor and that of Afuze were some of the institutions birthed during the period while many primary and secondary schools were also set up across the entire State.
The period between 1979 to 1983 could possibly be described an era where the sector catapulted the growth and development of all other sectors.
What had happened between then and now is not story we are ready to bore you with, but, what is not news is that that education sector is in dire need of attention.
We have had successesive administration since then and they have all fallen short of the feat Ali achieved with ease and clear vision.
The big question now is, is there anyone with a clear vision, passion and experience to reenact similar feat accomplished by the late Professor of Medicine?
