The Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, has been honoured with a fellowship award from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.
The award was conferred on him at the Institute’s annual dinner and awards night held in Lagos, according to a statement from the commission on Saturday.
Presenting the award, the ICSAN President/Chairman of Council, Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo, stated that the fellowship award recognised Magaji’s exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial, and administrative skills.
She added that the Registrar-General’s notable commitment to promoting good governance in Nigeria was equally deserving of praise.
In response, the CAC boss thanked the Institute for the honour and emphasised that the recognition would motivate him to further enhance his contributions to the field of corporate governance.
He noted, “This award will spur me to continue to offer selfless service towards the growth and development of the CAC in our quest to entrench the practice of corporate governance and public administration.”
Before the event, the Governing Council of ICSAN conducted a thorough screening of seasoned administrators, reputable governance professionals, and successful entrepreneurs in the country before selecting the CAC boss and others for the awards.
ICSAN is the leading recognised professional body in Nigeria dedicated to enhancing the status and practice of corporate governance and public administration. It is also the only professional body authorised in Nigeria to conduct examinations leading to the qualification of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
