Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a message of congratulations to the 38th African Union Summit, reaffirming the deepening ties between China and Africa.
Xinhua reported that Jinping underscored the rise of the Global South, particularly in the face of complex global challenges, with China and Africa playing a pivotal role in shaping the international order.
According to Xinhua, the Chinese President praised the African Union’s leadership in advancing regional integration, overcoming obstacles, and elevating Africa’s global influence as a unified “voice of Africa.”
He highlighted the flourishing China-Africa relationship, noting the momentum created by the successful Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
This marked a new era of partnership, with both sides committed to building an all-weather community with a shared future, Jinping noted.
Looking ahead, Jinping expressed determination to collaborate with African leaders on ambitious modernization initiatives and partnership actions that will bring tangible benefits to over 2.8 billion people across China and Africa.
