Ecobank splashes N42m on customers in ‘Millionaire Geng’ Promo
Ecobank Nigeria has rewarded its customers with a total of N42 million in the just-concluded Super Reward “Millionaire Geng” Promo.
The six-month campaign, which ran from July 1 to December 31, 2024, saw winners emerging in monthly, quarterly, and grand prize draws.
A breakdown of the rewards revealed that 520 customers won N50,000 each in monthly draws, 16 customers received N500,000 each in quarterly draws, while four lucky winners walked away with N2 million each in the grand finale.
The promo covered four regions across Nigeria—FCT & North, Lagos, Midwest & Southwest, and South-South & Southeast—with draws conducted transparently under the supervision of regulatory authorities.
Speaking at the grand finale in Lagos, Adeola Ogunyemi, Head of Consumer Banking, expressed excitement over the overwhelming response to the promo, describing it as a drive to promote savings culture and reward customer loyalty.
“For six months, we have seen great participation from customers who are now more conscious of the need to save. No matter how much you earn, it’s about how much you can retain,” Ogunyemi stated.
She urged more Nigerians to take advantage of Ecobank’s savings, loans, and investment solutions for financial security.
Similarly, Victor Yalokwu, Head of Consumer Segments & Products, noted that the promo was tailored to mid-to-low-income customers, ensuring inclusivity.
“While we have products for high-net-worth individuals, this campaign focused on everyday customers, encouraging them to save while offering exciting rewards,” he explained.
Several winners, contacted live during the draws, expressed their joy and appreciation, with many pledging to continue banking with Ecobank.
