‘Man of the Year award’, Ekiti N’Assembly congratulates Oyebanji
Ekiti State National Assembly Caucus has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on being named Silverbird Man of the Year.
The caucus described the award as a recognition of his “exemplary leadership” and “unwavering commitment to public service.”
This is detailed in a press release shared with PUNCH Online on Sunday, titled “Ekiti State NASS Caucus Congratulates Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on Silverbird Man of the Year Award.”
It was signed by Senate Leader and Caucus Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and Caucus Secretary, Akintunde Rotimi.
The lawmakers applauded Oyebanji’s governance approach, which they said prioritizes “consensus-building, inclusivity, and strategic engagement with all stakeholders to drive sustainable progress.”
“The esteemed honour is a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and relentless pursuit of development for Ekiti State,” the caucus stated in the release dated March 15, 2025, in Abuja.
They lauded his ability to foster unity beyond political and ideological divides while prioritising the collective interest of Ekiti, noting that his governance reflects the core values of the Ekiti people—integrity, diligence, and selfless service.
Highlighting the significance of the recognition, the caucus emphasized that “the calibre of individuals considered for the honour underscores the Governor’s growing influence beyond Ekiti State, cementing his status as a transformative leader in Nigeria’s democratic and developmental landscape.”
The lawmakers reaffirmed their support for Oyebanji’s administration, expressing confidence in his continued strides toward “sustainable growth and prosperity for the people of Ekiti.”
