• Highlights Media role and need for assistance.
• Unveils Reigh Advertising and Megastar Media Communications Office in Abuja
Media expert Adeniyi Ifetayo has urged the Nigerian government to establish a bailout fund for struggling media organizations as the country faces continued economic challenges. Speaking at the launch of Reigh Advertising and Megastar Media Communications Office in Abuja, Ifetayo emphasized the critical role media plays in projecting a nation’s image.
“Every industry should be given a bailout, especially the fourth realm of the estate,” Ifetayo stated, referencing similar support provided to journalists in Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that European governments had provided weekly stipends of approximately 500 euros to media professionals during lockdown periods.
Ifetayo highlighted media’s role as “ambassadors” that project Nigeria’s image globally, arguing this makes the sector particularly crucial to the economy. He also introduced his new media firm, which aims to connect businesses internationally and amplify voices across the world.
The new venture, Reigh Advertising and Megastar Media Communications, will leverage strategic partnerships globally to help Nigerian businesses reach investors in regions like China and the Middle East, according to Ifetayo.
