‘When People Hear Bad Things About You, They Spread It Like Wildfire’ – Olakunle Churchill Laments
Nigerian philanthropist, Olakunle Churchill has expressed anger while lamenting that bad news is fast to spread.
He was reacting to his rumored split with his wife, Rosy Meurer.
Recall that a popular blogger claimed that the couple had gone their separate ways due to infidelity and domestic violence.
The blogger alleged that Churchill had purportedly been physically abusive towards his wife and had been absent from their shared residence.
Despite Rosy’s public admiration for her husband, the blog asserted that she was the primary breadwinner for the family.
Speaking via a recent post on his Instagram page, Churchill lamented that people would often stay silent when they hear good things about you, but their reaction would be different when it is bad news.
He affirmed that while positive news doesn’t get good reach, negative news spreads rapidly.
Churchill added that as he can’t control other people’s thoughts or perceptions about him, he has channeled his energy into personal growth and self-improvement, focusing on his journey.
In his words, “When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire. When they hear nothing about you, they make things up. However, it’s important to remember that you cannot control what others say or how they perceive you. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself, and concentrate on the journey, the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you.”
