Fans and friends have continued to celebrate Afrobeat star, Burna Boy as he launched his football academy in Lagos State.
The Burna Boy Football Academy is reported to operate three days a week, with two-hour training sessions.
In a now-trending video on social media, young players are seen training under the guidance of a coach.
According to the academy’s official website, the initiative caters to young football enthusiasts in two age brackets: junior boys aged 4–15 and senior boys aged 16–21.
The academy has partnered with several top-tier football clubs, including Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs, Leicester City, and Brighton from the English Premier League, as well as Watford from the Championship and Scottish clubs Hearts and Hamilton.
With two centers in Lagos, Lekki and Surulere, as well as Abuja and Port Harcourt, the academy has already seen success, with results from seven friendly matches showing four wins, two defeats, and a draw.
