Foden wins PFA Players’ Player of the Year award. The 24-year-old also featured in Team of the Year.
Manchester City forward Phil Foden has been named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
The England international enjoyed a dazzling campaign which saw him rack up 19 goals and eight assists in 35 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s title winners.
Foden was named the Premier League Player of the Season earlier this summer and has now added the PFA Players’ Player of the Year trophy to his ever-growing cabinet.
“To win this award is something very special and it is one that I am very proud of and grateful for,” Foden said. “To be recognised this way by your fellow professionals means everything and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me.
“I also want to pay special thanks to Pep, the City coaches and all my team mates as they help me to try and get better every single day.
“I’d also like congratulate Kyle [Walker], Rodrigo and Erling [Haaland] on being voted into the PFA Team of the Year as it’s great to see their amazing quality recognised in such a way.
“Last season was another very special one for everyone at the Club but now all our focus is concentrated on trying to achieve more success this term.”
Elsewhere, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was named the PFA Young Player of the Year, while stars from Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa all earned spots in the Team of the Year.
