The award-winning Nigerian music star, Abolore Adigun better known as 9ice, has taken to his Instagram page to announce the conferment of chieftaincy title on him. This title was done in his honour in Ogun State.

His chieftaincy title is “Amuludun of Ijofin Kingdom” which means the “Chief Entertainer of Ijofin Kingdom”.

9ice thanked the king of the Ijofin Kingdom for honoring him with a chieftaincy title and also pledged to continue supporting Nigeria.

“ARE AMULUDUN IJOFIN KINGDOM IPOKIA YEWA. THANKS TO HRM OBA MORUF AWODE AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY OF GUSANU AND THE PEOPLE OF IJOFIN KINGDOM, YEWA OGUN STATE AND EVERYONE,” he wrote.

Rather than staying in the entertainment industry alone, 9ice explored the realm of politics when he ran for the office of House of Representatives and took a political appointment as a Special Adviser to the then-governor of Oyo State, Late Abiola Ajimobi, in 2015.

9ice is known for his powerful use of the Yoruba language in his music, proverbial lyrics, and unique delivery style.

He was awarded the Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008. Some of his most popular songs include “Little Money,” “Make Dem Talk,” and “Gongo Aso.”
