Hilda Baci, prepared to mentor more chefs in the country

Upon successful completion of the class, participants will receive a certification signifying their newly acquired culinary expertise.

Celebrated chef, Hilda Baci, has announced plans to empower aspiring chefs across Nigeria and beyond.

In a statement issued to PUNCH Online on Thursday, unveiling her Christmas Menu Cooking Class as part of her ongoing mission to equip women with culinary skills, Baci emphasised that the more women who are trained to become economically stable, the better it will be for Nigeria’s economy.

In her words, “The more women we can train to become economically stable, the better our society will be,” she stressed.

According to Baci, the academy aims to cultivate a new generation of chefs who can navigate the complexities of the food industry, with a focus on building successful careers in the culinary world.

She noted that the cooking class, scheduled to run from 4 November to 9 December 2024, will equip participants with invaluable culinary skills. Baci added that her commitment to empowering women is at the heart of this initiative.

“With every edition, we’ve not just taught cooking but woven a tapestry of dreams, aspirations, and endless possibilities.

“This year, we’re excited to continue this beautiful tradition, opening doors to new opportunities for our participants.

“The initiative offers a chance to win incredible prizes, including a brand-new 2018 Hyundai Sonata and a staggering ₦10 million cash prize,” she stated.

The statement added that the Christmas Menu Cooking Class will feature an extensive curriculum, covering over 160 recipes, advanced plating techniques, costing and pricing strategies, and video editing skills for both beginners and advanced learners.

“Participants will not only learn how to create mouth-watering dishes but will also gain essential skills to thrive in the culinary industry.

“This year’s class is particularly special, as participants will have the chance to win various digital and kitchen items to help start their culinary journey, alongside the brand-new 2018 Hyundai Sonata and the ₦10 million prize money.

“This isn’t just a prize; it’s a token of our journey, a testament to what you can build,” Hilda added. “I’m overjoyed to announce that our students will walk away with not just skills but also the means to change their lives,” the statement concluded.
