Father’s Day Prayer

Thy face O Lord

In me

Like a glass I want to see.

School me like the pupils of thy eyes so I can learn of thy precepts.

Deliver me from all troubled waters

And forever keep my head above the water.

Help me gain heights like a tall giant

Even though I am the shortest man in my family.

Help me exercise my faith in six packs

And help burn out these unhealthy fats causing my fart to smell.

Cos, I want to run for you swiftly

And daily win medals just like you.

Thy face O Lord

In me

I want to see,

On bended knees, my endless plea.

Help me understand the whispers of thy heart.

Take away the noise and give your poems.

Help me write to the right

And give me insight to sight the next phase to face.

Lead me, the compass of my soul

And cause my face and shoes to shine.

Build me, the architect of my life

Or the usual collapse, O my Nehemiah!

Thy face O Lord

In me

I want to see at a glance through the mirror of thy eyes.

Help me see beyond the sea, my dream come true,

And I will forever ‘Arise’ and ‘Hail Thee’

My Salvation!

My Ebenezer!
