Former Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko clocked 70 years of age
To mark the landmark age, he chose to celebrate with a low-key praise and thanksgiving event tagged ‘Special Divine Agenda Praise Evening’.
The occasion which was graced by former members of Mimiko’s executive council, political leaders, ex-lawmakers, and traditional rulers was officiated by Pastor Wale Akinfesoye, former Chaplain of the Government House Chapel who delivered a brief exhortation.
Quite a number of those present at the event such as the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade; the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo; the Owa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Francis Agbede; the Olu of Ilu-Abo, Oba Olu Falae alongside other notable dignitaries, took time to extol the virtues of Mimiko.

One of those who extolled him to high heavens was the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa who highlighted Mimiko’s transformational leadership, noting the significant projects and policies he implemented, which greatly enhanced the well-being of the people of Ondo State.
He also commended Mimiko for finishing his time in office on a strong and commendable note, adding that the celebration is a testament to the legacy he has built, and the affection people have for him.
