Abuja natives praise Wike for swift inauguration of mandate secretaries

Natives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have praised the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike for his swift inauguration of the mandate secretaries, saying it shows his readiness to do good works in the nation’s capital.

Elder Danjuma Tanko Dara made this commendation during a press conference in Abuja.

“We want to commend the minister, Nyesom Wike for swiftly moving into action to inaugurate his cabinet through the appointment and inauguration of the mandate secretaries. This has proven that he is ready to work and ensure that things are done properly in the FCT.

“My advice for the new mandate secretaries is that they should not disappoint President Bola Tinubu and the FCT minister who found them worthy to serve as mandate secretaries, which is equivalent to commissioners in other states.

They should be selfless in serving the people and the government and ensure that the right things are done to justify their appointments. So, at the end of their tenure, they will be proud to say that they served the people very well to the best of their ability.

“Bitrus Garki needs our prayers and support because he is a very young and intelligent man. So, instead of looking for ways to put him under pressure by making unnecessary demands, we should think of ways to make him succeed by giving him positive advice and praying for him.

“If he succeeds, that means the entire natives of Abuja have succeeded because he is the only indigene of Abuja amongst the mandate secretaries. We want to use this opportunity to appreciate the government for counting him worthy for such an exalted position despite his age,” he said.
