Christmas time is a celebration time— where friends and families come together to celebrate. But this time , Dorian Homes, plans to set a new record by celebrating Christmas with the orphanage children since its grand-launching.
This Christmas party will be the first Christmas party that will be organized by Dorian Homes to ensure that children are served with mouth watering delicacies and well entertained for them to have a feel of the Yuletide on 21th December,2021.
In his famous speech, the American activist, Late Martin Luther King, described selfless service to humanity as an important one. He said “ Life is most persistent and the urgent question is: what are you doing for others ? “ and thus this resonates to the founder of Dorian Homes, Dr. Lola Boyade.
The world class orphanage home, has 700 capacities for children with 500 capacities for widow to acquire skills. It also has a mini-clinic and a hall that can occupy 400 people.
During the launch in Akure, many prominent personalities graced the occasion: Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, former University of Lagos, Pro Chancellor, Mr. Wale Babalakin, Minister of Women Affairs, Minister of State Niger Delta, Senator Tayo Alasoadura and Deptuy Gov Ondo, representing the Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.
The multi- talented musician, Teni Makanaki also entertained guests with her performance during the grand- opening in Akure, Ondo State.
