Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has officially ended the joint account system previously shared between the state government and its 13 local government areas. This decision, confirmed on Tuesday by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, aligns with a Supreme Court ruling that grants financial independence to all 774 local governments in Nigeria.

Ahemba highlighted Governor Sule’s commitment to accountability, describing him as one of the country’s most transparent leaders who strongly supports the rule of law.
