Megastar has partnered Auto Girl to transform 6 women to professional mechanics
In a concerted bid to break male gender monopoly in the automotive industry, Megastar Media Communication sponsored the training of six women in who are now lady mechanics.
The partnership is in line with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 5 (SDGs ) which focused on women’s empowerment also aimed at eliminating gender disparities and to ensure equal access.
The feat by Megastar was achieved with the collaboration and partnership with Auto Girl founder, Chinazom Arinze, who owns a renowned car hiring firm based on Lagos.
Elated facilitator and Founder, Megastar Communication , Ifetayo Adeniyi said their efforts was part of their Social Corporate Responsibility to add value to the society.
Adeniyi said, ” A few months ago, we at Megastar Media Communications and the Megastar Foundation for Social Impact took a bold step to make a difference. We partnered with Auto Girl to open doors for women in the automotive industry, a field often dominated by men.
“As part of this partnership, we sponsored 6 amazing young women to enroll in Auto Girl’s mechanics program, believing in their potential to break barriers and change the narrative.
“Today, we are beyond proud to announce that these inspiring women have officially graduated as certified auto mechanics! Their hard work, dedication, and determination have paid off, and they’re ready to take on the world.
“This moment isn’t just about the certificates they’ve earned; it’s about the barriers they’ve broken, the confidence they’ve gained, and the message they’re sending to women everywhere: “You can do it too.”
Also worth mentioning is the grants of #250,000 each sponsored by Access Bank that were given to the best female mechanics, Best female driver and Best female affiliate marketer respectively.
