Senator Monday Okpebholo declared winner of APC Govt Primaries in Edo

After days of uncertainty surrounding the APC primary, the Edo state APC has finally collated results and announced Senator Monday Okpebholo as the winner of the APC governorship primary.

The Chairman of the election committee and Governor of Crossriver State, Bassey Otu, announced the final result of the exercise in the capital, Benin, after collating results from 18 Local Government Areas.

Senator Okpebholo pulled 12,433 votes to defeat 11 other aspirants who contested the primary election.

This announcement has put to an end the imbroglio that characterized the APC that before now produced three winners, which led to the declaration of the result inconclusive and removing the then chairman of the committee, Governor Hope Uzodinma.
