Senator Ned Munir Nwoko representing Delta North senatorial district has been appointed to represent Delta State in the 45-member constitution review committee, to be chaired by Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin. The committee is tasked with handling bills aimed at altering provisions of the 1999 Constitution.

The committee, as outlined by Senate President Godwill Akpabio, includes eight principal officers serving as a steering committee, one senator from each state, including the Federal Capital, and one senator from each geopolitical zone. Akpabio stressed the importance of updating the Constitution to reflect current realities, citing advancements like artificial intelligence.

Serving on this committee holds significant strategic importance for Senator Ned Nwoko, given that many of his proposed bills aim to amend existing Acts.
