Nigeria, USA, Spain, and Ecuador have made it to quarter-finals of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Four nations have secured their places in the quarter-finals of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Nigeria’s Flamingos, along with the United States, Spain, and Ecuador, advanced after strong performances in the group stages.

Nigeria’s Flamingos claimed their spot in the next round with a narrow 1-0 win over host nation, the Dominican Republic. This victory saw Nigeria finish at the top of Group A with a perfect nine points, showcasing excellent teamwork and skill throughout the tournament.

The Flamingos had already qualified for the quarter-finals following a commanding 4-0 victory over Ecuador last Saturday but were determined to close the group stage with another win.

Ecuador also advanced to the knock-out rounds after a dominant 4-0 win against New Zealand in their final group match, securing their place in the quarter-finals.

With the group stages concluding, the competition is set to intensify as the knock-out rounds begin.

Later today, Zambia will face Japan, and Poland will take on Brazil in matches that will determine the remaining quarter-finalists. These fixtures are crucial in finalizing the quarter-final lineup as the tournament continues to deliver exciting football.
