I Like It When Pep Guardiola Yells At Me, Says Haaland
Erling Haaland says he likes it when his coach Pep Guardiola shouts at him because he tries to get something in his brain.
Haaland in an interview with newsmen after winning the UEFA’s Men’s Player of the year award in Monaco on Thursday, said he felt good winning the award at just 22, saying he is living his dream.
“I feel good, what more can I say I won the treble at 22 years old and I am living the dream.
“It was my dream when young, so to do this with my team-mates is something special and I am really happy it gives me so much more motivation.
“We have to be more prepared and sharper, for me it is motivation and I am ready to try and do my best and have new great season.”
On if he is more scared of Guardiola or his father, he said: “Sometimes Pep, but again sometimes my Dad can be scary. I like it when Pep shouts at me because he tries to get something in my brain that I don’t have!
“He is just trying to make me a better footballer.”
